TV Goodies - What's coming up in April 2010

Every month I'll try to put together a list of what original TV shows to look forward to. I'll update it as I get more information. And if you want details about what's coming up each week, check out my column on Sci Fi Wire each Monday by going to the Columns section.

Here's the start of April 2010:

APRIL TV GOODIES:

Monday, March 29: - staring early in honor of Saving Grace and V

Saving Grace (TNT) - Season 4 returns for three episodes. The final six episodes of the series will beginning airing in late May.

Tuesday, March 30:

V (ABC) - returns with "Welcome to the War," the first of the last eight episodes of season one.

Thursday, April 1:

Fringe (Fox) - Returns with new episodes (finally!) The episode is called "Peter" and will have Walter reveal Peter's history to Olivia. It's a big one.

Supernatural (The CW) - Sam and Dean get killed and go to heaven... I'm not kidding. Maybe they'll get to ask God whatzup finally.

Bones (Fox) returns with with new episodes.

Other's of interest: The Vampire Diaries (The CW), FlashForward (ABC), and The Mentalist (CBS)

Friday, April 2:

Smallville (The CW) returns with new episodes.

Stargate Universe (Syfy) is back with the second half of season one, where we get to find out what happened after Rush got stranded on the planet by Young. Can't wait to see what happens when they end up in the same room.

Merlin (Syfy) Thank God, Syfy is picking up this great show. Check out Syfy's Season One marathon on Sunday, March 28. But season two starts the next Friday.

CBS's has a new line up of Ghost Whisperer, Medium and the new Miami Medical.

Starz has a new Spartacus: Blood and Sand and the Cartoon Network has a new Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Saturday, April 3:

Eragon (Syfy) - the 2006 theatrical movie, which I don't remember as being very good

Thursday, April 8:

Bones (Fox) - 100th episode

Saturday, April 10:

Mega Piranha (Syfy) - Because Giant Piranha aren't big enough. Here's another Syfy Saturday night at the movies.

Legend of the Seeker (Syndication) - New episode called "Desecrated." It's looking like there won't be any more reruns till the end of the season.

Tuesday, April 13:

Glee (Fox) - Season one returns. And no, I don't care if there's no sci-fi, action or paranormal. Glee's just fun to watch.

Wednesday, April 14:

Human Target (Fox) - Season one finale. Could it possibly be the end of the this entertaining show's first season already? Unfortunately, yes. Lie to Me replaces it.

Ugly Betty (ABC) - Series finale. Bye Betty! Been nice to know you!

Friday, April 16:

Spartacus: Blood and Sand (Starz) - Season one finale. But don't worry. They've already ordered season two.

Saturday, April 17:

Doctor Who (BBC America) - The Ultimate Guide - catch up with all things Doctor

Doctor Who (BBC America) - Season five premiere with the new Doctor.

Sunday, April 18:

Riverworld (Syfy) - Four hours of the miniseries, Syfy is hoping gets enough ratings to turn it into a series. This is the second Syfy Riverworld, and this one stars Tahmoh Penikett, Laura Vandervoort, and Peter Wingfield as the baddy.

Wednesday, April 21:

Destination Truth (Syfy) - Season three finale.

Saturday, April 24:

Mothman (Syfy) - Jewel Staite stars in this Syfy Saturday night movie about the legendary creature.

Sunday, April 25:

Into the universe with Stephen Hawking: part 1 (Discovery) - series premiere

Tuesday, April 27:

Survivors (BBC America) - Season two finale

Wednesday, April 28:

Happy Town (ABC) - a new mystery series that's looking a little Twin Peakish. Maybe... maybe not.
